A Season For Love And Sisters .

February is always a month of love and good times, even with the weather that we have been experiencing here, but nothing could have made this month better than the sisterhood that we all cherish.

"We’re having a great time unwinding from stressful school weeks, while bonding with each other,"

We started off this semester with some great sisterhoods. From our Galentines celebration, to Quesadillas in the union, to making valentines day cards for nursing home patients our “sisterhoods this month have been partially tradition, partially new and creative. We’re having a great time unwinding from stressful school weeks, while bonding with each other,” said sisterhood director Casey Terzich. Every sisterhood has been a wonderful and unique experience this month. Jennie Paxson, our Financial Director mentioned that her favorite sisterhood was our Galentines celebration “It was a good time! I won pencils, wrote cute notes and had a lovely time with my sisters!”

In addition to great sisterhoods, we also had two wonderful mixers this month, one with the ladies of Alpha Sigma Tau (AST) and one with the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp). With AST we enjoyed a trivia night that took us through the decades with some friendly competition. On this past Tuesday, we spent the night at the sorority house having a song guessing challenge with the men of Sig Ep. We couldn't have asked for better Greek Life members to spend time with!

Moreover, this month’s Inspire program embraced the love in the air and had us focusing on loving ourselves. Sarah Ritondale, our programming director reminded us that self-care is just as important as any class that we’re taking or any organization that we are apart of. “This week we did a program called Treat Yourself. A lot of our women wanted to have a program that would guide them to live a happier less stressful life…. It was really beneficial for our sisters to become aware of how they are feeling in their day to day lives and remind themselves of what they need in their lives in order to lead that happier and more fulfilling lifestyle,” Sarah reflected. The program started with a relaxing massage and ended with us commenting on what self care truly means to us. It was a great way to remind us that February means loving everyone around you, including yourself!

This Month’s

TOP STORIES

Pairing Party

We started this month off right with a Pairing Party with the men of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE). On the 8th of February we dressed up in our best Office Party outfits and found ourselves at Casey’s Pub. Sister Megan Brightman, our New Member Orientation Chair said, “The pairing party last month was a lot of fun, and it was a super fun time to bond with my sisters! It was great to be able to connect with others members of Greek life as well!” Thanks to the men of SAE for the great evening.

Dad’s Day

Another great memory from this month was our dad’s dad celebration. Sisters brought their dad to the House Bolton Arcade on Main Street for the afternoon of classic arcade games, great popcorn, and, of course, some father-daughter bonding time. We’d like to give a shout out to sister Tyler Postma for taking great photos at the event! We all enjoyed the time spend with our father’s. Jacy Chiaramonte, our Bid Day Director, commented that “I thought dad’s day was awesome! I loved meeting everyone’s dad and having my dad meet my sisters. My dad told me he really enjoyed it and that he loves that I’m in a sorority that includes families and is so kind to one another.”

In charge of planning the day, Hannah Eppert, our Parent Relations Director, also noted, “I think dad’s day went really well, from what I saw everyone was having a good time and enjoyed some friendly competition with their dads! I also think that the dad’s had fun getting to play the old school games from their own childhoods. Overall I think dads day was a success and I hope everyone had a great time!” Thanks, Hannah, for planning a great day!

Coming Soon

Next Month

With a new month ahead comes grand new adventures that our sisterhood will embark upon. Spring break isn’t the only thing that we are looking forward to for March. We have the All Sorority Speaker that we will be attending in addition to mixers that we are all looking forward to. Best of all we will be having our semesterly retreat that all of us sisters are excited for. Needless to say, you’re going to want to check back in and see what all happens next month!!

Always with Xi Love,

Your Delta Chi Sisters
